Embryo Donation

When both the male partner and the female partners are infertile, they opt for embryo donation. In this, the embryo is developed by fusing the sperm and eggs of the donor couple and the embryo is implanted in the uterus of the female partner. The indication of using Donor Sperms for Fertility Treatment is Azoospermia (zero sperm count), Low sperm count, Failure of treatment for Male Factor Infertility, and Single women desirous of pregnancy. Sperm Donation is available from Donor banks. These sperms are obtained from young healthy men who have been medically tested and all infections have been ruled out. The sperm is matched with height, skin colour, eye colour, and any other desirous parameters.

Donor eggs

In many cases the egg quality is not good. This leads to failure of repeated cycles of treatment. In these cases using donor eggs treatment is the answer. There are also many women who have attained menopause however in these women uterus can be made healthy after hormonal preparation. IVF using donor eggs would lead to very high chance of successful pregnancy.

The chance of success with donor egg cycle is about 60% per single attempt and 90% in 3 attempts.

Donor eggs are obtained from three sources - they can be from someone in your family, a professional donor or through egg sharing. The advantage of professional donor is that you will get higher number of eggs for the IVF treatment therefore chance of success is higher. The disadvantage is that it is more expensive.
